Article 1 (Purpose) These regulations establish general provisions regarding the publication of the Asian Qualitative Inquiry Journal, published by the Asian Qualitative Inquiry Association (hereinafter the “Association”).

Article 2 (Scope) Publications in this journal consist of research papers or theoretical discussions that align with the objectives of the Association. The following types of research may be published, without specific restriction on academic area: papers introducing new qualitative research methodologies or new perspectives on existing ones; exploratory papers on major issues in the qualitative research process; papers comparing and analyzing various qualitative research methodologies; and papers applying qualitative research methodologies across academic fields in Asia.

Article 3 (Publication Frequency and Dates) The journal is published twice a year, on June 30 and December 31 each year.

Article 4 (Ethical Provisions at Publication)

4.1 If a submitted paper is an abridged or partial version of a thesis or dissertation, and the journal publication date is after the degree conferral date, the prescribed citation must be provided at publication. If a violation is later discovered, the author is responsible for withdrawal of the paper and any legal consequences.

4.2 If the content of the thesis or dissertation has been used verbatim or nearly verbatim, a citation in the following form must be provided: “This paper is an excerpt and compilation from the 20XX [Master's/Doctoral] thesis of [Author's Name] at [University's Name].”

Article 5 (Editorial Board)

5.1 An editorial board is established to conduct the review, editing, and publishing of submitted papers.

5.2 The editor-in-chief and other editors convene the editorial board prior to publication to discuss the final list of papers. Depending on the schedule and circumstances, the meeting may be replaced by an online meeting or email communication.

Article 6 (Copyright Transfer)

6.1 The copyright of all papers published in the journal belongs to the Association.

6.2 The copyright transfer agreement must be completed and submitted with the final revised version of an accepted paper, as an image file via email or other means.

6.3 The rights transferred to the Association include the right of reproduction, distribution, public transmission, inclusion in databases, and the right to create derivative works, in both print and digital forms. In case of any inconsistency regarding copyright, the copyright provision of the Submission Regulations shall prevail.

Article 7 (Fees and Resubmission)

7.1 There is no submission fee or examination fee for manuscripts.

7.2 There is no honorarium for reviewers.

7.3 The publication fee is 250,000 KRW regardless of the number of pages, and 350,000 KRW if the manuscript includes research-funding acknowledgments. The fee is waived where the primary author (first or corresponding author) is a graduate student.

7.4 Manuscripts disapproved for publication may be resubmitted after fundamental revision of their content.

제1조 (목적) 이 규정은 아시아질적탐구학회(이하 “학회”)에서 발간하는 「Asian Qualitative Inquiry Journal」의 출판에 관한 총칙을 정함을 목적으로 한다.

제2조 (범위) 본 학술지의 게재논문은 학회의 목적에 부합하는 연구논문이나 이론적 논의로 구성된다. 새로운 질적 연구 방법론을 소개하거나 기존 방법론에 새로운 관점을 제시하는 논문, 질적 연구 과정의 주요 이슈에 대한 탐구 논문, 다양한 질적 연구 방법론을 비교 분석한 논문, 아시아 권역의 다양한 학문 분야에 질적 연구 방법론을 적용한 논문 등은 학술 분야에 대한 특별한 제한 없이 출판될 수 있다.

제3조 (발행 횟수 및 시기) 학술지 발행횟수는 연 2회로 하며, 발행시기는 매년 6월 30일과 12월 31일로 한다.

제4조 (게재 시 윤리규정)

4.1 투고논문이 학위논문의 요약본 또는 일부이고, 학술지 게재일이 학위수여일 이후인 경우에는 게재 시 소정의 인용을 함께 기재하여야 한다. 추후 위반사항이 발견될 경우, 논문 철회 및 법적 결과에 대한 책임은 논문 작성자에게 있다.

4.2 논문의 내용이 학위논문에서 그대로 또는 거의 그대로 사용된 경우 다음과 같은 인용을 제공해야 한다: “본 논문은 [대학명]의 [석사/박사] 학위논문 [저자명]의 20XX 논문을 발췌·편집한 것입니다.”

제5조 (편집위원회)

5.1 투고된 논문의 심사, 편집, 출판 업무를 수행하기 위해 편집위원회를 운영한다.

5.2 편집장과 편집위원들은 학술지 출판 전에 편집위원회를 소집하여 최종 출판 논문을 협의한다. 출판일정 및 기타 사정에 따라 회의는 온라인 회의나 이메일 연락으로 대체할 수 있다.

제6조 (저작권의 양도) 

6.1 학술지에 게재된 모든 논문의 저작권은 학회에 귀속된다.

6.2 승인된 논문의 최종 수정본을 제출할 때 저작권 양도 동의서를 이미지 파일로 작성하여 이메일 등을 통해 제출한다.

6.3 학회에 양도되는 권리에는 인쇄 및 디지털 형태의 복제권, 배포권, 공중송신(전송)권, 데이터베이스 수록권 및 2차적저작물작성권이 포함된다. 저작권에 관하여 상충되는 경우 논문투고규정의 저작권 조항을 우선하여 적용한다.

제7조 (투고료·심사료·게재료 및 재투고)

7.1 투고료와 심사료는 무료이다.

7.2 심사위원에 대한 심사료는 지급하지 아니한다.

7.3 게재료는 면수와 무관하게 25만원이며, 사사표기를 한 논문은 35만원이다. 단, 대학원생이 주저자(제1저자 혹은 교신저자)인 경우에는 게재료를 청구하지 아니한다.

7.4 불가판정을 받은 논문은 내용을 근본적으로 수정하여 다시 투고할 수 있다.
